Online Grammar Work

You will be using an online program connected to The Little Seagull handbook called InQuizitive. To set this up, login to InQuizitive via our course page on learning.gcc.edu; you’ll find the link under our course “Content.”

Your grade on each module will be automatically generated; the system allows you to keep working within a module until you earn a score with which you are satisfied.  After the first week’s diagnostic exam (which is not graded), you will be required to complete assigned modules before each of the three essays (see schedule below).  How you pace yourself is up to you, but do not attempt to do all assigned modules at the due date.  We will have corresponding readings in the classes leading up to each due date, and we will edit drafts of each essay with attention to the topics addressed in each module.  The system requires a certain amount of time be spent on each module.  Your grade for each set of modules will be based upon the final mastery level you achieve in each module taken out of 30 points. For example, if you achieve an average of 85% mastery in a set of modules, your score for that unit will be .85×30=25.5pts. Before completing a grammar assignment, be sure to review the material in The Little Seagull handbook.  The system also provides feedback on all questions.
