- Part 1: Complete the Library Tutorial (due on Nov. 1st), then find, check out, and bring a volume of literary criticism to class with you on Nov. 2nd.
- How long will it take to complete? The tutorial will take about 30 minutes; the time you will need to choose a locate a volume of criticism may vary.
- What is it? This homework will refresh your memory about a helpful place to begin your research, as well as introduce you to two effective strategies for locating literary criticism that I hope will help to jumpstart the research for your essay.
- Why is it due on Wednesday? Once you complete the tutorial, you will need time to search for and locate a volume of criticism. You will submit the title through a separate form during the library session.
- Part 2: An in-person library instruction session on Thursday, Nov. 2nd, held in the Library Instruction Room.
- This session will include:
- Q&A from assignment
- An introduction to evaluating literary criticism
- An evaluating sources activity using the volume of criticism you locate as part of your pre-session assignment.
- We will be using laptops during this session so please bring yours to class.
